Which Smarty PANCE Course Should I Use?

Smarty PANCE includes several ways to study. The best starting point depends on the exam in front of you.

Preparing for the PANCE

  • Use the PANCE blueprint lessons on the main website to organize content review
  • Use the QBank for mixed practice, custom exams, mock exams, and performance analytics
  • Use the combined topic search tool to find a condition across PANCE, PANRE, EOR, and related resources

Preparing for the PANRE or PANRE-LA

  • Start with the PANRE blueprint-based material on the main website
  • Use custom QBank exams to target weak systems or categories
  • For PANRE-LA research, search for the diagnosis or topic using the Smarty PANCE topic search

Preparing for an EOR exam

Choose the course for your current clinical rotation. Smarty PANCE currently supports the six active PAEA rotation categories:

  • Emergency Medicine
  • Family Medicine
  • Internal Medicine
  • Pediatrics
  • Psychiatry and Behavioral Health
  • General Surgery Rotation

Some courses may show both current and legacy materials while blueprint updates are being completed. Use the current-year section when your program is testing on the current blueprint. View the EOR overview.

Preparing for the EOC exam

Use the dedicated End of Curriculum course. It is broader than a single EOR rotation and follows EOC content areas.

A simple study workflow

  1. Review the relevant blueprint or content-area lessons
  2. Build a short QBank exam for the same topic
  3. Read every rationale, including the explanations for incorrect options
  4. Record weak topics in notes or flashcards
  5. Retest with mixed questions after targeted review

Smarty PANCE is an independent educational resource and is not affiliated with NCCPA or PAEA.
